Traditional Monthly Meeting

Our traditional monthly meeting pre-pandemic would land us in a different assisted living or skilled nursing community each second Tuesday of the month. We are happy to say that we are booking meeting venues for in person meetings through the end of the year but will continue to offer the hybrid option for your convenience. If you are interested in co-hosting one of our Traditional Meetings and have enough office/meeting space for 30-40 professionals, please contact us to get on the schedule. 

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. In recognition, we want  to help "break the the stigma". Let us get re-acquainted  with  our co-host, Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. Come learn how  Crisis  Center of Tampa Bay collaborates with  community  partners  to achieve their MISSION, to ensure that no one in our community has to face crisis alone. Their VISION to seek to be that extraordinary place where all people find help, hope and healing to make tomorrow better and VALUES of Physical and Psychological Safety, Collaboration, Resourcefulness, Accountability and Empowerment. Crisis Center staff will be conducting tours at the conclusion of our meeting.

 Sometimes when we are feeling sad, distressed, or in pain, hearing a familiar song that brings back a particular memory can have a soothing effect. At AccentCare Hospice, we recognize the benefits music therapy can have with patients at end of life, but the value of this therapy can be extended to anyone in need. Please join us at the upcoming meeting for a demonstration on the therapeutic benefits of music and learn some easy techniques that can be done with your residents. Music therapy is an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of individuals of all ages, and AccentCare Hospice is proud to be the largest employer of music therapists in the country.
